Hybrid of the fresh market San Marzano for early spring-summer and autumn production grown under protected cultivation. The fruits are monochrome in colour and have an elongated cylindrical shape , with a well rounded top and smooth skin, even under difficult conditions of cultivation. The Pelato (peeled tomato) also offers an abundant crop, with clusters of 6-8 very homogeneous fruits, solid and that do not suffer the “tinning”. With these characteristics the ripe fruits are firm and preserve the intactness after harvesting and do not suffer during transport. The peeled tomato can be offered to the consumer at different stages of ripening, with different shades of colour (green, veined and red) due to the prestigious organoleptic qualities, superior to those of the long San Marzano types available in the varietal panorama.
